- The application for the New York State Excelsior Scholarship opens on Dec. 17, 2019. New students wishing to apply for the scholarship should submit the one-time application available on HESC. Students who have previously applied do not need to complete a new Excelsior application; however, the FAFSA and TAP applications must be renewed for all students each year.
- Outstanding documentation required to determine eligibility for financial aid for the fall 2019 term must be submitted by December 1, 2019. Review your to-do list in HUB or visit an advisor in 1Capen to complete all requirements.
- Does your financial aid package include an New York State award estimate? To be eligible for an award listed as an estimate, you must complete the required NYS application(s) and meet all other eligibility requirements. Awards include the TAP Grant, Excelsior Scholarship, and STEM Scholarship among others. Estimates will be cancelled if all requirements are not satisfied.
